“We got some guys that can score in this league,” Cousins said.

“It’s tough to beat the Lakers, but we’re going to have to do it.”

Cousins had 27 points in his first start since being acquired from the Los Angeles Clippers on Dec. 20.

The veteran forward has averaged 19.7 points in three meetings this season.

Sacramento has won the last two meetings.

The Lakers (11-13) are 2-10 since a 115-113 overtime victory on Dec, 22, but have lost nine of the last 10.

Kobe Bryant scored 26 points for the Lakers.

Los Angeles was outscored 48-21 in the third quarter, and committed eight turnovers.

Los Vegas (10-12) is in fourth place in the Western Conference after losing five of six.

“The way they play defensively, they don’t play well,” Bryant said.

“(Our) energy was just off the charts.”

Brandon Ingram had 24 rebounds for the Clippers, who shot 41.4 percent in a 96-91 loss to Indiana on Monday and were limited to 38.7 percent in overtime against Philadelphia.

Eric Gordon scored 24 points and eight assists.

Josh Richardson had 15 points for Los Angeles, which has won nine of its last 10 games.

Los Carson is 6-3 this season, but lost eight in a row after beating the Denver Nuggets 109-100 on Monday for the fourth straight time.

The Nuggets were coming off a 96,000-plus crowd when they played the Los Carson Warriors on Jan. 14.

The Warriors won 91-88 in Reno, Nev.

The team is 5-1 in its last six home games, including two victories in Las Vegas.

The last loss by the Warriors came on Jan 1, 2018, when the Warriors were 0-7 in Denver.

The teams meet again Saturday.

“Obviously, we didn’t play like we wanted to, but that’s the NBA,” guard Aaron Gordon said.

The Grizzlies (13-12), who have lost three straight and six of their previous seven, beat the Utah Jazz on Saturday by 23 points.

Memphis has lost four straight, including a 112-99 loss to Golden State on Saturday.

Zach Randolph had 22 points and 17 rebounds for Memphis, which is averaging 106.0 points during the streak.

The Jazz had a chance to win after hitting a pair of 3-pointers in the fourth quarter, but couldn’t capitalize.

“I think we’re a little bit more mature offensively and defensively,” Randolph said.

Utah is 6 1/2 games behind the Cavaliers for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

The Cavaliers have the tiebreaker over the Pacers for the No. 1 seed.

“They’re playing good defense, they’re playing well offensively, they were able to beat us on the boards, we were able on the glass,” coach Tyronn Lue said.

Memphis also won last season’s matchup against the Nuggets, 109-96 on Jan 7, 2018.

It was the first game of the season that Memphis was without starters Ty Lawson and Marcus Thornton, who have missed the past four games due to injuries.

“You have to have some guys who can go through some games, some guys you can rely on, some bigs, some shooters,” Lue told reporters.

NOTES: The Lakers are 5-4 on the road.

The Knicks won the second game of their trip at Denver, 98-85 on Saturday, where Bryant scored 31 points.

Anthony is averaging 25.0 ppg in the last four games against Sacramento, including 27.8 in the Lakers’ past six meetings.

Sacramento is 8-5 when leading after two quarters.

Brooklyn is 2-8 when trailing by double figures.
